From a small mining operation, extracting limestone in the Hennenman area, Oranje Mynbou en Vervoer Company (OMV) has grown into an industry leader, specializing in the mining and beneficiation of various minerals.

Since its formation in 1952, OMV have expanded their operations to cover most of Central South Africa, supplying secondary raw materials to the cement industry and construction aggregates and ready mixed concrete to projects and clients ranging from the DIY enthusiast and homebuilder, to the largest construction projects currently in progress.

OMV currently operates four crushing plants, five ready mixed concrete plants, two opencast mines, one synthetic gypsum processing plant and two engineering works, all situated in Central South Africa.

The reason for the success and sustained growth of OMV Crushers in an industry that has seen a steady decline during the last decade is a result of strong and capable leadership, hands on management and a mutual respect between employer and employees.

OMV runs a strict safety and environmental management program at all it’s operations that is constantly monitored and adjusted, and is a member of ASPASA (Aggregate and Sand Producers Association of South Africa) and SARMA (South African Ready-Mixed Concrete Association).
